Presidential candidate hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kyerematen, has pledged to put executives of the Party on monthly salaries when elected flagbearer. The executives, he said, would also earn Social Security and Pensions.

Speaking after the Greater Accra version of the ‘Aduru Wo So’ Walk last Saturday, in which over 300,000 Ghanaians participated, the NPP flagbearer hopeful pledged to set up businesses across the constituencies that will generate revenue to pay the party officials.

The industrial revolutionist, who served as the Trade and Industry Minister, explained his plans that will raise revenue to pay all party executives across the country, when elected the Flagbearer of the party, come November 2023.

Accompanied by his wife, Patricia, Alan Kyerematen led the 19-kilometer health walk from the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle to Mantse Agboana, at James Town, where it ended.

The former Trade and Industry Minister also spoke about his visionary “Great Transformational Plan (GTP), saying that “Through re-engineered economic, technological and agricultural paradigms, GTP is aimed at sustained growth and transformation for jobs.

Alan Kyerematen said his tours throughout the regions have shown massive support for his candidacy, as flagbearer of the NPP, as many see him as the surest bet to ‘Break the Eight’ and win victory for the party in 2024.

He said Ghana needs a politically experienced and mature leader who can unify the country, irrespective of political leanings and ethnic biases.

According to him, politics in Ghana is too divisive, hence the need for a leader to reconcile and heal the nation of divisive tendencies and help build strong political organisations.

Alan Kyerematen thanked chiefs, pastors, Imams, traders and party executives across the country for their show of support for his aspiration to lead the NPP and Ghana.

Believing that only the Ghanaian electorate could help the NPP break the ‘8’, Mr Kyerematen pleaded with party delegates to give him the mandate to lead the party and thus encourage Ghanaians in general to vote for the NPP to enable him serve the party and Ghana as he has done since 1992.

He commended party members in Greater Accra for their massive turnout and show of support and urged the delegates among them to ensure his victory in the primaries, since that was the only way the party could retain power.

Prominent party members present were; Sly Tetteh, Ayikoi Otoo, Carlos Ahenkora, Adomako Kissi, Abena Osei Asare, Davis Opoku Ansah, Pope, Hopeson Adorye and Nana Ohene Ntow.

Others included; Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Frank Agyekum, Mr. Richard Nyamah, Collins Owusu Amankwa, party officials and senior party figures.
