Otumfuo inspecting the project designs during the visit

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has promised to rebuild the Adako Jachie Training Center Complex into befitting status.

Last Saturday, the Ashanti King, who is the Life Patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club, visited the facility which has become known as the AJ project.

Following an inspection tour of the facility, Otumfuo has taken the architectural design of the project to study for the necessary structural changes.

He was taken round the facility by the leadership of the supporters of the football club, led by the Chairman of the National Circles Council (NCC), Christopher Damenya.

A local construction firm, NOM Company Limited, began the project in October 2020, and was supposed to have been completed by January 2021, but delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The first phase of the AJ project comprises the club’s secretariat to accommodate officers from its current Odeneho Kwadaso Secretariat, as well as a swimming pool, health department that will have a doctor’s room, physiotherapy room, technical room, gymnasium, dressing room with washrooms, and a canteen among others.

Meanwhile, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appointed an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee the affairs of Asante Kotoko SC, while its administration is restructured.

They are Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, Kontomponiaferehene and Chartered Accountant, former Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah, the club’s former Coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Emmanuel Dasoberi.
