Ghana’s U-23 side, the Black Meteors will depart Accra on Thursday, October 20, for their CAF Championship qualifier encounter against Mozambique.

The team will depart for Maputo Thursday evening in preparation for their first-leg qualifying match against their Mozambican opponents, which clash is slated to take place on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto.

The team has been in camp for the past six weeks as part of preparations.

In a doubleheader, Ghana will play Mozambique, with the winner going on to play the winner of the match between Algeria and DR Congo.

Morocco will host the fourth edition of U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in June 2023.

Ibrahim Tanko oversaw the squad that placed fourth in the 2019 competition, won by hosts Egypt won, ensuring that Ghana would not be participating in the 2020 Olympics.
