The Chief Executive Officer of WESTEC Security Services, Mr. Kwame Sarpong, has been installed Gyasehene of the Essumeja Traditional Area.
He assumes office under the stool name of Osagyefo Kwame Sarpong I.
He has sworn the Oath of Allegiance to the Omanhene of Essumeja Traditional Area, Odeneho Okyere Kusi Ntrama, since October 27, 2022.
The Omanhene advised the new Chief to be humble and use his rich experiences in life to serve the people diligently for the development of the area.
Nana Kwame Sarpong, 62, thanked Nana Kusi Ntrama and his elders for the honour done him and his family, and pledged to cooperate with the stool elders and chiefs to champion the development agenda of the Essumeja Traditional Council, and raise the living standards of the people.
He also thanked the Head of the Bretuo Family, Abusuapanin Osei Yaw Akoto, for the support.
Nana Sarpong, an Accra-based businessman, is a native of Dominase and a member of the Bretuo families of Dominase and Adjamesu in the Bekwai Municipality.
The Chief has pledged to sustain a scholarship package for students in his locality, which he initiated long ago when he had not become a Chief.
All the sub-chiefs accepted the new Chief and hoped he would complement efforts of the Omanhene and the Traditional Council to bring development to the people in the area.
The new Essumeja Gyasehene is the proprietor of a group of business entities, including WESTEC Security Services Limited, First Insurance, First Finance Investment Company, Prestige Pension and Business Opportunity Network.
