A new political party, Action People’s Party (APP), has been formed and certified by the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) as a political party.
Its registration is in fulfilment of the Political Parties Act 574 of 2000 Section 8, Sub-section 2.
The Electoral Commission has, since September 6, 2022, presented the newly formed Action Peoples Party with a Provisional Certificate of registration.
The party was founded by Kenneth Nana Kwame Asamoah, a Canada-based Ghanaian businessman and native of Asuofua in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
He was the former National Chairman of the United Progressive Party (UPP).
The Founder and Leader of the new party has pledged to go by the rules and regulations governing elections in the country.
Nana Asamoah called on the membership to ready themselves for the impending Congresses at the constituency, regional to national levels to elect executives for the 2024 Elections.
The APP Leader called on Ghanaians to join the party and make efforts to rescue Ghana from the current economic hardships.
He also thanked the media for their support for the party, culminating in the certification by the EC.
