The Volta Regional NDC has elected Mawutor Agbavitor as the new Regional Chairman for the next leadership term.
Mawutor Agbavitor had 203 votes whilst the incumbent, Henry Ametepe had 130 votes and former MP for North Dayi, George Loh had 181 votes.
The newly elected Chairman, Mawutor Agbavitor, vowed to make sure that the Volta NDC garners more than enough votes for the victory of the party in the 2024 elections.
Mr. Agbavitor noted that it was necessary for the NPP to be shown the exit so as to restore the economy of the country.
He said with hard work, unity and dedication to a common goal, the NDC can achieve huge victory come 2024.
Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor said there is the urgent need for all party faithful to come together to make sure that victory is achieved in 2024.
He also called for unity among members of the party adding that it was the only way to achieve a common goal.
“Thank you all for the confidence reposed in me to be your new chairman and I promise to work hard just like my predecessor did in order to bring victory to our great party in 2024 .I urge all of us to be united and work for a common goal,” Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor said.
For the Vice Chairman position, Egypt Kwabla Kudoto won with 220 votes whiles the incumbent Secretary, James Gunu had 456 votes to retain his position. The Communications Director, Kafui Agbleze also retained his post with 522 votes.
