Ghanaian business mogul and Development Chief (Nkosuohene) of Akyem-Osiem in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie I, has been honoured with the Most Influential Changemaker of the Year award at the just-ended Humanitarian Global Awards.
The event, which focuses on recognizing and awarding the efforts of individuals and outfits for their immense contribution to their societies and beyond took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, August 27.
Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie I, commended organisers of the Humanitarian Global Awards for a great initiative. He further expressed his excitement for his award, saying, “I thank them for appreciating my works, because this will encourage me to do more charity works and also serve as an inspiration to many others”.
Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie I was honoured at the Humanitarian Global Awards for his numerous impactful social interventions, the most recent of all being his timely support for orphans and the aged in his hometown, Akyem Osiem.
The chief who is currently the Executive Chairman of DB Group, doubles as a Goodwill Ambassador of UNACWCA and is widely known in many circles for his generosity. This also earned him Special Charity Award at the 2021 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards.
The 2022 Humanitarian Global Awards event got a keynote address from its special guest of honor, Reverend Father Andrew Campbell, Irish-Ghanaian catholic missionary.
It was also graced by Ace Broadcast Journalist Oheneyere Gifty Anti, outgoing French Ambassador H.E. Anne Sophie Ave, and Professor Kaufmann of the National Science and Maths Quiz fame, who was also honoured with an award.
