A solemn ceremony to officially announce the burial date of the Christian Atsu has been held at Adjiringanor, near East Legon in Accra.
The ceremony which started at 8:30 am brought people from all walks of life including former footballers, sports administrators, politicians, musicians, traditionalists, and reverend ministers among others.
Some of the top personalities were Alan Kyerematen, a presidential aspirant on the New Patriotic Party, GFA president Kurtz Okraku, former Black Stars Coach, Kwasi Appiah, former Assistant Coach Maxwell Konadu, Grace Ashley and Great Ampong.
Some of the former Black Stars players were Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, Richard Kingston, John Paintsil, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Yaw Preko, Tony Baffoe, Barfour Gyan, Derick Boateng, John Mensah and Sulley Muntari.
The Multimedia Group was represented by the General Manager of the Akan cluster, Alhassan Haruna who made a donation on behalf of the company.
Christian Atsu died in the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey last month.
The funeral which is slated for March 17, 2023, and will take place at the forecourt of the State House.
