Former Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu, has been appointed as the head of the new technical team for the Black Satellites as reported by Joy Sports in June.

Boadu takes over from Abdul Karim Zito as the team’s new head coach ahead of the 2023 African Games to be staged in Accra next year.

Zito led Ghana’s U-20 side to Africa Cup of Nations glory in 2021 in Mauritania but will leave his post with the former Hearts gaffer taking his place.

Boadu, who was part of Ghana’s technical team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, won the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup during his time with Hearts of Oak before facing the sack early days into the 2022/23 season.

He will be assisted by Desmond Offei and Salifu Fatawu.

As part of the new technical team, former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has also been given the goalkeepers’ trainer role.
