The Elubo Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Service on Tuesday, 2nd April, 2024 arrested an Ivorian murder suspect (about 32yrs), Nduoba Essoi Fulgence, at Edwakpole, a village near Anyinase in the Ellembele District of the Western Region.
The Elubo Sector Command, upon receiving intelligence from the Ivorian Police Commissaire in Noe, the Ivorian side of the Elubo Border, to assist in arresting the said fugitive, a taxi driver in Mouyasse, who was believed to have fled into Ghana after slaughtering the girlfriend, Miss Nda Abekan Anne Or Ella, in Ivory Coast.
Preliminary information gathered, by a surveilance team made up of Immigration Officers from the Elubo Sector Command, under the command of Assistant Commissioner of Immigration (ACI), Joshual Krakue, revealed that the said suspect could be with some relatives at Edwakpole village, about 50 kilometers to Elubo.
At about 1330hrs, a search party was dispatched to smoke the suspect out of his hideout. After about two hours (2hrs) of intensive operation, the suspect was identified and arrested in a house believed to be his family house at Edwakpole village.
The Suspect was immediately handed over to the Ivorian Police Commissaire in Noe, at the Elubo Border, by the Elubo Sector Command of GIS, at about 1600hrs on Tuesday, 2nd April, 2024.
