The Management of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has inspected three ongoing school classroom projects in the Metropolis.
Engineer Eric Yaw Owusu, Metro Engineer at the KMA, who led the management team, expressed satisfaction at the various stages of completions of the projects.
According to him, the No. 1 six unit classroom block at Abrepo M/A School to accommodate the Kindergarten was funded through the Internal Generated Fund (IGF) of the KMA.
The project is being constructed by FORAC Construction Limited and is 75% complete.
The No. 1 six unit ground floor school building at Adumanu being constructed by Derkak, which was also funded through the District Development Fund (DDF,) is 45% complete.
Ing. Owusu disclosed that the No 1 six-unit ground floor school building at African Faith School at K. Gyasi-Santasi, also being constructed by FORAC Construction Limited, was funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) and is currently at 55% completion stage.
Ing. Owusu appealed to the general public, especially residents of the Kumasi Metropolis, to always honour their tax obligations, in terms of property rate, income taxes, revenue and building permits timely to ensure the total development of the Metropolis towards improving the living standard of the residents.
Mr. Jeffrey Nsafoah of FORAC Construction assured the KMA management team that the projects would be completed and handed over for the intended purpose by the end of June this year.
